KIMO HUSSEY - “Train the Teachers Workshop”

Learn from internationally known Hawaiian ukulele master and founder of the Pacific Music Foundation

Music Literacy, the Ukulele Way! May 7 &8, 2012

Kimo Hussey is coming from Hawaii to present a two-day Ukulele Teacher’s Workshop! It will be full of new material for teachers (current and prospective) including new alternative/experimental strategies as well as tried-and-true repertoire and learning progressions. Current and prospective ukulele teachers alike will benefit from the depth and variety of material presented. First-time strummers welcome. Handouts provided (ukuleles, too, if you need one).

The secret is out: the ukulele is an ideal vehicle for fostering music literacy in students of all ages; it’s fun, inexpensive, proven, and amazingly versatile. If a sequential, performance-based approach to classroom and/or private music instruction is what you’ve been looking for, you’re in for a treat!
